Black History Month & Juneteenth
I specialize in developing thoughtful, community-centered Black History Month and Juneteenth programming that moves beyond surface-level celebration.
My experience includes helping plan and produce Black History Month and Juneteenth events for the City of Southfield and Oakland County Government. This work has included program development, historical and cultural storytelling, community partnerships, performers, speakers, interactive elements, event logistics, and the overall participant experience.
I approach culturally significant programming with intention, care, and an understanding that how a story is told matters just as much as what is included. The goal is to create experiences that honor history, reflect the community, and invite meaningful connection.
